California Maritime Academy Exhibit

Mini and Meph have yet more excellent adventures in California

     — May 2010

On 12-17 April, Mimi and Meph returned to the San Francisco area to investigate possible new homes for the exhibit they installed at the California Maritime Academy in Vallejo last year. Besides renewing acquaintances with Carl Phillips and other friends at Cal Maritime, they met with staff at the Monterey and San Francisco Maritime Museums, all of whom were excited about the prospect of hosting displays.

The Cal Maritime staff have generously offered to keep the exhibit until January 2011, so if you are in the Bay Area and have not had time to visit the Academy, you can still do so. Cal Maritime's campus is a pleasant spot right on the bay, well worth seeing, and is open to the public.

Mr. Phillips has invited Mimi and Meph to do a presentation for students and faculty sometime in early September. This will be open to the public, so if you are interested in attending, watch this space for details of time and place, or contact us directly.

Here are some photos of the exhibit:

The Cal Maritime staff has added some large print signs to
enhance the display panels. (Good job, Cal Maritime. Thank you.)

Mimi stands next to the panel with its new title sign.
